How to Enter

Check out the Fair Book for the Exhibitor Rules and Regulations. You can print out the Open Class Pre-Entry Form.

Look at the Table of Contents and find the department for the item you want to exhibit. Read the instructions, pre-registration information and early entry deadlines. Choose your best and bring it out to the County Fairgrounds!

When to Enter

You bring in your Open Class entries in on Tuesday, August 2nd 2016 1:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in the CSU Extension Building. Perishable items need to be registered on Tuesday 8-2-16 but should be brought in for judging on Wednesday morning 7:30 – 9:00 am. ALL OTHER ENTRIES are to be left with the superintendent on Tuesday.

Archuleta County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, CSU Extension Building located at 344 Highway 84, Pagosa Springs, CO.

Judging

Judging will occur on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016, and you can check out how you did on Thursday of Fair!

Ribbons and premiums will be awarded as follows:
1st Place………………………………..$1.00……………..Blue

Homemaker of the Year Award

Age categories: Adult (20+) and Teen (13-19)

This $100.00 cash award and title is presented to the exhibitor of each category with the highest points in at least 4 of the following departments: Beer & Wine, Sewing, Needlework, Table Setting, Crafts, Woodworking, Baked Goods, Home Furnishings, Fine Arts, Photography, Floriculture, Fruits & Vegetables and Preserved Foods. Points are awarded as follows: 1st = 4 points; 2nd = 3 points; 3rd = 1 point.

Hobby Collection

Age Categories

  • Youth: 12 years and younger; Teen: 13 – 19 years
  • Adult: 20 years and older

Rules

  1. Space limited so please notify the office by Tuesday, July 26
  2. One collection per exhibitor
  3. Specify the kind of collection when contacting the office
  4. Size of space: 6′ table
  5. Please include a 5″ X 7″ card with the following information:
  • Date collection was started
  • Number of items in the entire collection
  • Photo of the collection
  • If possible, the entire layout of the collection

Model Train Collection

Age Categories

  • Youth: 12 years and younger; Teen: 13 – 19 years
  • Adult: 20 years and older

Rules

  1. Space limited so please notify the office by Tuesday, July 26
  2. One collection per exhibitor
  3. Size of space: 6′ table
  4. Portion of track with train is necessary
  5. Decorative materials may be displayed with the model train
  6. Please include a 5″ X 7″ card with the following information:
  • Date collection was started
  • Number of items in the entire collection
  • Photo, if possible, of the entire train layout
